Marie Laru Becker, 87, of Albany died Friday in the Albany Mennonite Home.
Born in Haddam, Kan., to William and Doris Welch Holloway (sic), she grew up and attended school in Haddam and spent most of her life in Kansas and Oregon. She worked for a ladies' dress shop and owned a restaurant in Belleville, Kan.
Her hobbies were crocheting, gardening, dancing and cooking. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church.
She married Alphonse J. Becker Sept. 17, 1993.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Clyde M. Lowry of Topeka, Kan., and Dennis K. Lowry of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters Neva Stueve of Corvallis and Dorothy Skupa of Haddam; brother Vearl Holloway of Narka, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Crakes.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 17 in McHenry Funeral Home, Corvallis. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Another visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, in Bachelor-Faulkner Dark Funeral Home, Belleville. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, in Haddam Cemetery.
