Fred Alvin Cross, son of Leo and Grace Hathaway Cross, was born January 13, 1913, at Venango, Nebr., and died March 2, 1990, at Republic County Hospital in Belleville, at the age of 77 years, one month, and 19 days.
He graduated from Marysville High School in 1930. He was united in marriage to Fern A. Larabee, May 13, 1936, at Lincoln, Nebr., and to this union two sons were born. He moved to the Haddam community in 1935.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Fern of Haddam; two sons, Larry and Allen; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held March 6 at the Haddam Methodist Church of Haddam, conducted by Rev. Andy Torres. Interment was in Haddam Cemetery.
