Rebecca Anne Tankersley Baker age 57 of Pekin passed away Thursday, May 5 at 1:48 a.m. at Scott County Hospital.

Mrs. Baker was born August 11, 1953 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia the daughter of Luther "Bud" and Nervesta Ashe Tankersley. She was retired from Kimball Office Furniture and a member of Pekin First Baptist Church.


She is survived by her husband: Dale Brent Baker of Pekin, a son: Kelly Dee Emery of Pekin, three daughters: Tiffany Legler (John) of Memphis, Trisha Elmore of Jeffersonville and Amanda Hammond (Hank) of Pekin, her mother: Nervesta Tankersley of Salem; three brothers: Steve Tankersley of Pekin, John Tankersley of Fort Worth, Texas and Kyle Moore of Salem, two sisters: Susan Martin of Massillon, Ohio and Tina Campbell (Carl) of Salem, 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, three brothers and a grandchild: Grant Randall Elmore.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m.-time of service.
