Rita G. Fivecoate, 88, Kokomo, and formerly of Royal Center, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Waterford Place, Kokomo.

Rita was born Nov. 13, 1924, in Cass County to Wilbur Azbell and Marie Kingery. She was married on March 16, 1943, in Miami County to Raymond E. (Zip) Fivecoate, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2002.

Rita retired in 1986 after several years of working for Switches. She was a member of the Webb Chapel United Methodist Church and also enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by daughter Carmen R. Gaskill and husband Roger, Kokomo; granddaughter Kelly Inderhees and husband Tom, Olathe, Kan.; granddaughter Jenna Ward and husband Chris, Kokomo; grandson Eric Gaskill and fiancee Kelly, Forest; brother Basil Azbell and wife Janice, Wabash; sister Deloris Greathouse, Greentown; great-grandchildren Haley, Kacie, Andrew and Christopher Inderhees, Adriannah Pierson and Myah Pierson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Wayne Fivecoate.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Bergstrom officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Memorials may be made to the Webb Chapel Building Fund.
