Clarence Wakefield Hill Sr., age 92, of Charlotte, died Monday, April 22, 2002 at his home. A Service of Celebration will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Midwood Baptist Church with The Reverend Glenn Johnson and The Reverend Joe Burnette, officiating. There will be a private committal service for family members to attend. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Wednesday at the church.

A native of Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late William Jarvis Hill and Julia Ann Parker Hill. Mr Hill was owner and operator of C. W. Hill Printing Company since 1931. He was a life-time member of Midwood Baptist Church. He was very dedicated to his church and had formerly held numerous positions through the years.

Surviving are his wife, Maragarette Marie White Hill; a son and three daughters; fifteen grand children and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
