Mr. Bristow, 70, lived at 210 Washington Ave., , The Cedars. He was an accountant with Continental Can Co. until hi retirement in 1968.
Mr. Bristow joined Boy Scout Troop 53 in 1922. Troop 53 is known as the longest continuously running troop in Delaware. Mr. Bristow was scoutmaster from 1933 until 1953.
Mr. Bristow was active in other community activities throughout his life. For the Order of the Eastern Star he was past grand patron of the State of Delaware. He was also once chairman of the Veteran's Hospital Hobby Cart Program and a member of Armstrong Lodge No. 26.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E.; a son Richard H. of The Cedars; a daughter, Elizabeth of Gaithersburg, MD; four grandchildren and one great- grandson.
