Manning Fletcher Allen, son of Edwin H. Allen, was born in Coon Rapids, Iowa, March 25, 1923, and died January 10th, 1924, aged 9 months and 16 days. Little Manning had never been strong from his birth , and more, especially since in a severe attack of the whooping cough last May, and de¬spite the most loving care and medical skill he was an easy victim of pneumonia which was fatal in a few hours after it had developed.
He was the joy and sunshine of the home and dearly beloved by all.
The little body was taken to Dysart, Iowa, accompanied by the Allen family, Mr. and Mrs. Brown of Perry and Mrs. E. B. Bran of Omaha where it was laid to rest beside its mother who passed away at Coon Rapids March 28th, 1923.
