Mrs. Leavitt Rites Set Tomorrow
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Geraldine Herron Leavitt, a 57 yr. old Pasadena housewife whose husband, Ned Harrison Leavitt, is an executive in a local investment brokerage firm.
Mrs. Leavitt died Sunday after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the Little Church of the Flowers in the Forest Lawn Mortuary in Glendale. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Leavitt, a native of Southern California, was a granddaughter of John D. Mercereau, the general contractor who built the Colorado Street Bridge.
The family home was at 590 Bradford St. They had lived there for more than 24 years.
Mrs. Leavitt was active in the Crittenden Home for Girls, the Girl Golfers at the Annandale Country Club, among other organizations.
Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Julia Ann, who is a teacher in the San Diego school system; a son, Ned H. Jr.; her mother, Mrs. F. Irwin Herron of Pasadena, and a sister, Mrs. Alton H. Cox of Newport Beach.
