True was the retired owner of True's Store in Pekin. He was born May 28, 1907 to Alex and Pearl Cook True.
Survivors include his wife, the former Janice Smith, who he married on October 15, 1948; one son, Carl True of Pekin; one daughter, Sharon Owen of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
