Hilda B. Wheeler, 82, of West Hickory, died Oct. 22 in the Arthur Murray Nursing Home, Titusville.
She was the daughter of the late J. Franklin and Margaret
Shaffer Burley. She is survived by one son, Francis A. Wheeler
of San Diego, Calif, and one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Jean)
Hinkle of West Hickory.
She was postmaster of the West Hickory Post Office for 15
years. Previous to her employment at the post office, she was associated with the U.S.O.
The funeral service will be held at the James K. Hazlett
Funeral Home, Tionesta, at 1 p.m. today with Rev. Merrill
Edder, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in the family cemetery, West Hickory.

Hilda, was sailing from Port Au Prince, Haiti on Sept 28,1920 with her children to New York and arrived on Oct. 4, 1920. Address given as West Hickory, Forest Co. Pa.Hilda, was living in Shreveport District 54., Caddo Co., Louisiana., per the 1930 census at age 40. She was married at age 22 and was born in W.V.Hilda, was Living in Harmony, Forest Co. Penn. per the 1940 census at age 50; College 4th year; Worked 44 hours the week prior to census; Worked 52 weeks in 1939; Income: $2000. Superintendent of sewer project.
