"Elizabeth J. (Sampsell) Stewart, 70, of Pasco, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1992 at Kadlec Medical Center. She was born Sept. 27, 1921. She lived in the community 20 years and worked as a bookkeeper.

"Elizabeth grew up in Harlan County, Kentucky. She moved to Kentucky at age 9. She graduated from Loyall High School in Loyall, Ky., in 1938 and then graduated from Brumbach School of Business in 1943. She was married in El Paso, Texas, July 4, 1947 to Marvin Carl Stewart. She was also a member of the Dayton Baptist Church, Dayton.

"Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Pasco; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dennis Cohen, of Eugene, Ore.; son[s] and daugher [daughters]-in-laws [law], Daniel and Karen Stewart of Spokane; and Patrick and Valerie Stewart of Chatteroy; nine grandchildren; sisters Emma Davis of Danville, Ky.; and Janis Debusk of Sullivan, Ind. The Funeral services will be held at Northwest United Protestant Church, at the 1300 Block of Wright Ave., Richland, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1992 at 11 a.m. Private graveside services will be held later. Memorial Contributions will be accepted by the American Cancer Society, c/o Juanita Keltch, P.O. Box 2038, Pasco, WA 99302. Visitation will be Monday Sept. 7, 1992, from noon to 7 p.m. at Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel."
