Rosalie Avery Morgan, 87, of the 200 block of South Black Road died Sept. 25, 1997, in her residence.
Born in Morganton, N.C., she was retired as a librarian from City of Norfolk's Kirn Library. She was a member of the Church of The Epiphany, as well as a member of the Norfolk Doll Club, Civic League and King's Daughters Circle. She was the widow of Aldophus J. Morgan.
Survivors include a sister, Laura A. Heptinstall of Norfolk; two brothers, DuBose Avery of Hendersonville, N.C., and Isaac T. Avery Jr. of Statesville, N.C.; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Church of The Epiphany. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Laura A. Heptinstall, 2511 Ballentine Blvd. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
