He was a native of Buncombe County, son of the late Arthur and Sally Parker Miller, and a member of Piney Mountain Methodist Church.Prior to his recent illness he was a shipping clerk for Biltmore Dairies.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Reeda DeBruhl Miller; a son, Troy A. Jr. of Candler, three brothers, F.M. and Leslie of Candler and Lloyd of Asheville; two sisters, Mrs. G. B. Young of Hickory and Mrs. B. H. Buckner of Morristown, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held in Piney Mountain Methodist Church with Revs. T. M. Mason, C. M. White and W. F. Wagoner officiating and burial was in the church cemetery. His nephews served as pallbearers. Groce Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
