Jacob Pius Gallagher, 91, Hanover RD4, died Wednesday night at 11:45 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Norbert Small, with whom he resided. Death was due to infirmities. He was the son of the late Jacob and Madaline Slusser Gallagher.
He was a member of the Socitey for the Propagation of the Faith of Condeago Chapel. Surviving are eight children; Charles, Hanover; William H., Gettysburg; Benjamin F., Centennial; Mrs. Frank Livelsberger, Edge Grove; Howard, Cuyahoga Falls, O.; Mrs. Small, Centennial; Joseph, Jackson, Mich.; and Mrs. Frank Hagerman, McSherrystown; 34 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning fro the Small home at 8:30, followed by a high requiem mass celebrated at 9:00 in Conewago chapel. The Very Rev. John O;Donnell, rector, was celebrant. Burial was made in the Fairfield cemetery.
