Services for Dorothy Marie "Dot" Johnson Hawthorne, 72, of Smyrna and Snellville will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Davis-Struempf Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, Austell, GA. www.davisstruempf.com Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in the Hawthorne Cemetery, Cairo, GA with Rev. Robert Crapps officiating at the graveside.

Mrs. Hawthorne passed away May 15, 2011. Dot was of the Baptist faith, a retired hair stylist, and her hobby was working with ceramics. She was a fantastic wife, mom, sister and friend. Survived by her husband of 54 l/2 years, Elliott R. Hawthorne; son, James Elliott Hawthorne of Alpharetta; sisters and brother-in-law, Millie and Haden Elrod of Hiram, Martha Morgan of Pine Mountain; deceased brother-in-law Michael Morgan; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sivie Johnson of Johnson City, TN.
