She was born at Yellow Creek, the daughter of the late George and Jerusha Adams Morehead.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are four sons, Cecil (Jack) Dawson and Larry Dawson, both of Grantsville, Donald Dawson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lanny Dawson of Millstone; two daughters, Georgia Smith of Cleveland and Deloris (Boots) Richards of Big Springs with whom she had resided; 30 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil H. Dawson, in 1983; one son, Jesse Eugene Dawson; one daughter, Janice Whipkey; five brothers; two sisters; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Larry Jones and Rev. Mary
Zimmer officiating. Burial was in Taylor Cemetery, Big Bend.
