A daughter of George and Emma Louise (Harbaugh) Rowles, she was born at Olanta June 17, 1896. She was a member of the Olanta Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid of the church and the Olanta PTA.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph W. Cathcart and these children: Ward, Mrs. Alfred (Louise) Thompson, Mrs. Sam (Nora) Kula, Kenneth, all of Olanta; G. Ardell Cathcart, Curwensville; Ralph Jr., Robert and Florence Ann, all at home.
Fifteen grandchildren and two brothers also survive: Ward and Weir Rowles, both of Olanta. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Lutheran Church at Olanta, the Rev. E. Roy Hauser officiating, assisted by the Rev. John Hill. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lininger Funeral Home, Curwensville, today from 7 p.m. until noon Friday at which time the body will be taken to church where friends may call until time of services.
