Lawrence Elmo Elrod, young child of Mr. and Mrs. Omer Elrod was born July 31, 1917 and departed this life September 24, 1918 after a brief illness of only a few days.
Lawrence was an exceptionally bright child, a smile for everyone, of good disposition, to know him was reason for loving him.
Why it is that while so young in life we must be separated is more than we can tell. Yet we have the consolation that he is in the arms of Jesus, another star in Paradise.
Was it for not this promise it would be more than we could bear.
Jesus said "suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many friends and also Dr. Mitchell for services rendered and sympathy extended. Funeral at Bunker Hill Wednesday, conducted by J. S. Johns.
