In a land beyond our vision,
Hidden by the bright blue sky.
There's a home of sweet contentment
That awaits for you and I.
Tears are dried before we enter,
Not a throb of pain up there,
Sunshine floods its every window,
Not a shadow, not a care.
It will be a glad reunion,
When we reach that that blissful clime,
We'll see standing at the gateway,
Friends of yours and friends of mine.
And what seems a long dark valley,
Is but just a little way,
To the pearly gates that open,
On a land of perfect day.
Look not down on life's dark pathway,
Look ahead to Heaven's dawn,
Break of day in God's tomorrow,
Will find every shadow gone.
When we pass beyond the sunset,
To the land of perfect rest,
We shall see with clearer vision,
And know all was for the best.
