Donald Eaton, 69, Woodinville, Wash., formerly of Meridian died March 24, 1982 at home. At his request no services were conducted. He was born Aug. 29, 1912 in Cashmere, Wash., where he attended schools. In October 1926 he moved with his parents to Meridian. He attended Five Mile School and Meridian High School graduating from high school in 1931. He served in the Navy from 1931 to 1935 aboard the USS Pennsylvania. He was the official ship photographer. He was an oarsman on the US rowing team in the 1932 Olympic Games at Long Beach, Calif. He enrolled in the University of Idaho Southern Branch Pocatello in 1936 and majored in engineering. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad in Pocatello. He reenlisted in the Navy during World War II and served as first lieutenant in the South Pacific Naval fleet. He married Viola Bashlein on April 20, 1947. At the end of the war he went to work for Boeing Aircraft Co in Seattle where he worked until he died. Survivors include his wife of Woodinville, a daughter, Dee Camp, of Okanogan, Wash., his mother, Wilma Crawford of Meridian, and a brother, Rex of Pocatello.
