Graveside service for John Tom McClain. 82, of Houston will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Randy Fitzgerald officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of OT. Allen Funeral Home.
McClain died Saturday in Houston. He was born May 10, 1920, in Alto to Tom and Myrtle Black McClain. He was an U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Daniel Industries where he worked as an electrical engineer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff McClain; a brother, Harmon McClain; and a sister, Zula Mae McClain.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth McClain of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Landa and Roger Roitsch of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen McClain of Houston; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Ann McClain of Alto; a sister-in-law, Eva McClain; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daisy and Johnny Leggett; five grandchildren, Lindsay Landon, Jonathon McClain, August Roitsch, Charles Roitsch and Eva Roitsch; and several nieces and nephews.
