Mr. Calhoun was born in Tarrytown and preceded in death by his parents, Augustus and Nettie Warnock Calhoun and two sons, Julian Thurman Calhoun, Jr. and Samuel Patrick Calhoun. He served in the Marines during W.W. II and was retired from W.R. Grace Co.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Elizabeth Hall Calhoun; son, Glenn Calhoun, Lakeland, FL; three daughters, Janice Hester, Winder, Betty Kemp, Merritt Island, FL, Judy Mixon, Auburn, GA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2. Burial will be in Tarrytown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
