William VanHooser was born Oct. 8, 1903 to Florence Hamlett and William Sanford VanHooser in Jackson County, Tennessee. He was the brother of Perry VanHooser and Elizabeth VanHooser. He served in the U.S. Army during WWI. He married Mary Elizabeth Anderson on October 31, 1947 in Gainesboro, Tennessee. They had one beautiful daughter, Helen. Even though Billy suffered from the effects of having polio, he worked hard to support his family. His death left a void in his family that no one could ever fill. God gives us the assurance though that one day we will all be reunited and what a day that will be!
