Born August 18, 1937, in Owen County, he ws the son of Gerald and Mary (Neill) Deem.
He was a member of the Freedom Nazarene Church.
Mr. Deem worked at Showers Furniture Factory in Bloomington.
Survivors include his two brothers , William Deem of Brownsburg and Edward F. Deem of Plainfield; several nieces abd nephews, and his family at the county home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 19 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Shear officiated.
Internment was at Riverside Cemetery.
