Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Sue (Sudderth) Lowery, 76, of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday May 21, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Gary Labeth officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Billie was born September 10, 1934 at New London, TX to the late Mr. Sidney Lee Stearns and Mrs. Katie Myrtle (Hill) Stearns. She departed this life Wed. May 18, 2011 at Ardmore.
Billie was reared in Wilson and attended school here. She was employed most of years as a caretaker and nurse for Rector Clinic and Wilson and Healdton Nursing Homes. Billie was always a very passionate caretaker to her family and patients. She was also a Nanny to many and always was an exceptional cook who never had to use a recipe.
She was first married to Mr. J.W. "Bo" Sudderth and cared deeply for him for many years until his passing on September 10, 1971. Later, she married Mr. Jake Hammon and he too preceded her in death. Lastly she and Mr. Jack Lowery were married and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1993.Also preceding her in death are Parents, Sisters, Sandy, Ruby Jean, and Geraldine and brothers Floyd and Wayne.
Survivors include her Son, Mike Sudderth and wife Christy of Ardmore; Stepdaughters, Donna Lowery of Wilson and Sue Clark and husband Jim of Ardmore. Sister, Pauline Shores and husband Dave of Wilson, Brothers; Larry Stearns and wife Glenda, Ronnie Stearns and wife Dottie, both of Wilson, Glenn Stearns and wife Loretta of Moore and Kenneth Stearns of Wilson. Grandchildren, Chris and wife Lisa, Misti and husband Jeff and Cade and wife Lisa. 8 Great Grandchildren, Jacob, Nate, Caden, Brody, Cale, Dylann, Colt and Kailey. Numerous other nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Casket Bearers will be Nephews.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at the funeral home in Wilson
