Richard H. Forman died in his home "Glenwood" in Natchez in 1912. His grave is unmarked, and in his family plot along with his 1st wife Emily A. Batchelor Forman, and dau. Evelyn. Richard and Emily were married Dec. 6, 1860.
Emily died May 31, 1883.
He married second Nydia Dockery, the oldest dau. of Gen. Thomas Dockery, CSA. Richard and Nydia were married on Jan'y 18, 1888. Nydia died in 1911. Richard died a year later in 1912. Neither Gen. Dockery, Nydia, Octavia, nor Richard's graves were marked at the time of their deaths. Richard is a brother of Stephen Samuel Forman #34283761. Richard married second Nydia Dockery #69960642. Richard was 2nd cousins to Varina Howell Davis. Richard's maternal grandfather Charles B. Howell was Varina's uncle. Charles B. Howell and Varina's father Wm. Burr Howell were brothers. It is through this family connection that the Davis' family possessions came to be at Glenwood.
