Mrs. Gladys A. Bell, 87, of 607 20th St., Vienna, died at the St. Joseph Hospital Thursday morning.
She was born in Nicholas county, daughter of the late Luther Walter and Angie Crawford Garrett. She was a member of The Salvation Army.
She is survived by a son, Donald Jefferson Bell of Edgerton, Ohio; four daughters, Donna Modesitt of Vienna, Nelma Matthews of Parkersburg, Eleanor Free of Edgewater, Md., and Vonda Barrios of San Francisco, Calif., 24 grandchildren including Mrs. William (Pat) Weigle, with whom she had resided; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in Death by her husband, Roy Bell; two sons, two daughters, five brothers, and a sister.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roy Modesitt and Capt. Dan Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetary at Walker.
