Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p. m. at Fenn funeral home, Kokomo, Ind., with grave side services and burial in the Mattoon Dodge Grove cemetery Saturday at 2 p. m.
Evans, who was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on Feb. 20, 1877, lived in Mattoon most of his life, working as a roofing contractor here. His wife, who preceded him in death, was the former Maude Ellen Coble.
Surviving are three daughters Mrs. E. Rudolph, Kokomo, Mrs. Leona Davis of Hammond, Ind. and Mrs. Mary E. Elson of Rosedale, Ind.; two sons, Robert of Mattoon, and Jack of Kokomo and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was the son of John W. Evans and Mary Ann Summers.
