Killed on order of Francisco "Pancho" Villa in the Massacre at San Pedro de la Cueva, 1915. Every male in the village over 15 years, including the village priest, was stood up against the church wall and shot. It went on all night. 77 named men and 11 other men names not recorded were killed. These are buried in the town cemetery.
