CUTHBERTSON Col. Jordan Leon Cuthbertson of Midwest City peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday morning October 4, 2000. Jordan was born July 29, 1914 outside Amber, OK. Jordan was the 2nd of three children of the Reverend Wilson D. and Era A. Cuthbertson.
He is survived by his older brother...; his two sons...; [several grandchildren and great-grandchildren]. His younger sister, Evelyn Harper, passed away in 1990. Jordan was married to Bertha Marie for 55 years until her death in 1990.
Jordan retired from Tinker AFB in 1973 as Chief of the Budget Division. He was the first draftee of the first call from Oklahoma County on January 30, 1941 and rose from US Army recruit to the rank of Colonel when he retired from the reserves in 1974. Jordan loved music and was a self-taught pianist and composer, having written over 100 songs.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper Funeral Home in Oklahoma City with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
