Funeral services for William Dale Abercrombie, 58, of Alba were held on Monday, May 16, at Wilson Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment was at Elm Cemetery.
Mr. Abercrombie passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Wood County Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola. He was born in Sulphur Springs on Sept. 24, 1952, the son of Dale and Ruth Milner Abercrombie. He graduated from Rains High School. During his working career he worked for Specialty Foods and Lowe's Distribution Center.
Survivers include three sisters, Ann Norvell and Bill of Arlington, Betty Jo LaPlume and Richard of Mineola, and Linda Tomberlin and Buck of Emory; nieces, Kim Norvell, Charlene Carlson and Glynda Johnson; nephews, Delvin Tomberlin and Greg Tomberlin; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
