Neil A. Roberts, Sr., 83, of Lebanon, died at 1:40 P.M., April 17, at St. Anthony Hospital in Louisville. Mr. Roberts was a native of Marion County, a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, a former Marion County magistrate & a retired heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Rose Wheatley; one daughter, Mary Frances Roberts; two sons, Michael Lawrence & William Edward Roberts; & his parents, William Richard & Alice Abell Roberts. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Alice Mattingly Roberts; four sons, Neil A. Jr., of Campbellsville, William Richard of Louisville, James Louis of LaGrange & Joe Denny Roberts of Lebanon; four daughters, Ms. Susan Barbara Spalding & Mrs. Ray "Alice" Shouse of Lebanon, Mrs. Billy "Dorothy" Myers of Louisville & Mrs. Matthew "Judy" Smith of Springfield; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, & two step-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 11 A.M., April 21, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Ivo Cecil officiated.
