Miriam L. Barlow, 77, of Montpelier died at 4:20 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2007, at Renaissance Specialty Hospital in Muncie.
She had worked for the Montpelier Schools from 1964 to 1992 as a member of the custodial and kitchen staff. She was a member of the Montpelier Senior Citizens and liked to be known as the card lady. She attended the First Baptist Church in Montpelier.
She was born in Blackford County on November 30, 1929, a daughter of Blinn and Helen Lydia (Strait) Maish.
She is survived by her son, John Paul Barlow of Kokomo, her daughter Penny (Jerry) White of Hartford City, and three grandchildren.
Calling is on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Glancy Funeral Homes - Walker Chapel in Montpelier. Services are set for 4 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Coffman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Twin Hill - I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, the Montpelier-Harrison Township Cancer Society, or the American Lung Association.
