The funeral for Mrs. Ethel M. Achor, 83, of 1610 Carriage Dr., Valparaiso, was today at Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Barber officiating. She died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at 5 a.m. at her home.
Cremation took place and burial of ashes was in Pine Lake Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Chicago to Henry and Ethel (Nelson) Mathis, and had lived in Valparaiso since 1977, coming from New Jersey.
Mrs. Achor was a homemaker.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred M. Haley of McLean, Va.; three sons, Leonard B. of Valparaiso, John W. of Chesterton and Henry M. of Grapevine, Texas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
