Pioneer Kirk Woman Dies suddenly
Thursday Morning
The death of Mrs. W.B. Baker, which occurred suddenly Thursday morning about 6:30 at the family residence in the Kirk community, was a shock to her many friends and relatives. Mrs. Baker had been a resident of the Mart and Kirk communities for many years and was a pioneer citizen of this section. During her lifetime, she was known for her kindness, her progressive spirit, and her fine Christian character. Besides her husband, deceased is survived by a son, Ronald Baker of San Antonio, and two daughters, Ms. Jas. K Somervelle of San Antonio ane Mrs. J. E Burchfield of Mart, Rte. 1. Funeral services were announced for 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Kirk Methodist church, with burial in Kirk cemetery. E.P. Littlepage, Mart, had charge of funeral arrangements.
Maggie Olive Wilson was married to William Berryman Baker on 18 Aug 1889 in Limestone Co at the J. C. Wilson residence.
