Mrs. Sarah Jo Petree Allen, 66, died a short time before 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2009. A very special mother, wife and sister passed away from cancer and other health problems just ten days short of her 67th birthday.

Sarah was born October 3, 1942 to Elbert H. and Mozell Spainhour Petree She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Martha P. Weaver. She is survived by her husband, Wayne H. Allen; her two sons, Byron G. and Benjamin W. Allen; her sister, Pat Foil (Bill); her brothers: James (Jan), and John Petree; her brother-in-law, Jack Weaver; and many other relatives. The family wishes to thank all her doctors and nurses in ICU 4B and 4C North and the Palliative Care Unit on the 4th Floor Ardmore at WFU Baptist Medical Center. "You are the greatest, and always beloved".

Memorial Servie will be held Wednesday, September 30th at 3:00pm at Bethlehem United Methodist church in Advance, NC. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
