Mrs. Burke A. Wingate

Mrs. Lula Adams, Wingate, 73, died yesterday in Cambridge terminating an illness of three years. She was born at Wingate on Feb. 6, 1895, adaughter of the late Edward J. and Mary Windsor Adams.
She was a member of Crapo Ebenezer Church.

Mrs. Wingate was the wife of the late Burke A. Wingate to whom she was married Dec. 11, 1910. His death occurred June 8, 1966.

For many years she was an employee of the Bernard Murphy Seafood Packing Co.
Three daughters, who survive, are Mrs. Eddison Abbott of Wingate, Mrs. Huldah Seward, Baltimore, and Mrs. Charles Moxey, Cambridge, in addition to one son, Marvin Wingate, Cambridge, She is also leaves four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Dayton of Ocean City, Md., and two brothers, James Adams of Wingate and Woodrow Adams of Baltimore.
Funeral services are set for tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at LeCompte Funeral Home to be conducted by the Rev. James Langrall. Interment will follow in the Wingate Family Cemetery at Wingate.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7:30 until 9 o'clock.
