Mr. Marlow worked as a tool and die maker for Memcor for many years retiring in 1998. After retirement Bob volunteered and worked at Central/Flint Springs Elementary school. He was well known around Huntington for his volunteer activities with children, including: coaching Andrews Little League baseball; the PAL Andrews Cardinals football team for 20 years; as well as coaching the Crestview Middle School 7th and 8th grade football teams for 8 years. Bob officiated high school football and girls softball for many years. He is a past member of the Huntington Moose Lodge and the Andrews Lions Club. His hobbies included working crossword and jigsaw puzzles – Bob also enjoyed bowling in the various Huntington leagues for over 30 years. Bob had a special love for traveling, especially to Alaska.

Mr. Marlow was born November 13, 1935 in Hicksville, Ohio, a son of Thurman and Wilma (Whitehurst) Marlow. He was a 1953 graduate of Kiser High School in Dayton, Ohio. Following graduation from high school, Bob served in the Air National Guard from 1952 – 1954. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1954 – 1958. While in the Air Force, he played semi-pro football.

He was first marriage was to Maryann Watkins who preceded him in death in March 1990. He then married Susie Zahm on November 8, 1992 in Edgerton, Ohio.

Bob is survived by his wife Susie; four sons; Jeffrey Marlow of Andrews, Kirk (Amber) Marlow of Wabash, Kyle Marlow of Huntington and Bobby Blair of Colorado; 2 daughters Tammi (Tim) Drabenstot and Tina Blair both of Huntington; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Carma (Richard) Polter of Sherwood, Ohio.
