Mabel Cora Cooper of Manhattan, died Thursday in Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

She was born in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, on August 17, 1892, a daughter of Herman and Cora Burgess Wurm. She moved with her parents to South Dakota where she finished her schooling.

She married William S. Cooper, Sr., in June 1909, in South Dakota. In 1912, they homesteaded in Meagher County, until 1926 when they moved to the Manhattan area where she had lived since.

She was a representative of Avon for 35 years and charter member of the Manhattan Bible Church. She was also a mission aid for the church.

Survivors include four sons, Alva, Helena; George and Bill, Manhattan, and Howard, Lewistown; a daughter Joy Gover, Victor; 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and one brother, Ray Wurm, Mitchell, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1940 and one daughter, Blanche Irvine.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Manhattan Bible Church. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery.
