Was a member of Co. D, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Div. Killed in action fighting the enemy in Korea. Was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation & the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. Information from Korean War Veterans Honor Roll.
