Michael Joel "Mikey" Vann, 19, of Sand Springs passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2011. He was born on October 3, 1991 in Tulsa, OK.

Mikey was a Charles Page High School graduate and a member of the Sandite Football Team. He was kind hearted. He loved God, little kids and animals, especially his dogs Bizzy and Yoshi. He liked wearing baseball caps and enjoyed playing football and basketball, hanging out with his friends, and listening to rap music especially to his favorite artist Lil Boosie. Mikey was a big flirt and strikingly handsome with a charming smile. He greeted people with a hug, smile, and a ‘hello'.

Mike was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Stanley Craddock and Watie Vann; and grandparents, Norma and Chuck Wilson.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Vann Hooks; father, Doug Wilson; step-father, Wayne Hooks; sister, Sydney Vann; grandparents, Jimmy and Lynda Vann; half-brother, Tristan "Trey" Wilson; great-grandmothers, Jane Jackson and Ruby Vann; uncle and aunt, Kevin and Hayley Vann; aunts, Indra Makhani and Madana Makhani; cousins, Tatum and Jenna Vann; cousin, Dakhari Makhani; his niece, Kaylee Wilson, and many friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Olivet Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow at Woodland Memorial Park.
