"Miss Mayme L. Davey and Alexander Engel Wed. The marriage of Miss Mayme Louise Davey and Alexander Engel, both of Beloit, was solemnized Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the 2nd Congregational parsonage, the Rev. H. A. Studebaker reading the single ring ceremony. Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lee Cawley. After a trip to northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Engel will make their home in Beloit. Mr. Engel is employed by the Yates American Company."

"Mayme Louise Engel, 81, of 1926 Cleora Dr, Apt. 3, Beloit, died Tuesday in St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL. A Beloit resident since 1924, she was born Dec. 19, 1904 in Dodgeville, Wis, the daughter of Joseph and Ida Belle 'Pyrer' Davey. She married Alexander Engel on Aug. 18, 1928, in Beloit. Mrs. Engel worked as a saleswoman for Sears and Roebuck for 23 years, retiring in 1969. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Young at Hearts Club of the church and Martha Circle, Lutheran Church Women of Our Savior, the Senior Citizens Centers at Grinnell Hall and the YWCA."

"Survivors include her husband; a brother, Willard Davey of Madison; several nieces and nephews, including Shirlee (Mrs. Robert) Eddy of Beloit. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers and two sisters. Services will be at 1 pm Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Walker officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church building fund."
