SANDY HOOK — Phyllis Collins Brigner, 72 of Sandy Hook, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, in Elliott County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sandy Hook.

She was born July 11, 1938, the daughter of the late William and Cula Collins. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Collins Jr.; her husband, Russell Brigner; and a grandson, Joshua Tarlton.

She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was a Christian and a member of Laurel Gorge Enterprise Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Bryan K. and wife Sandra Brigner of Sandy Hook, Angie and husband John Combs of Sandy Hook and Lisa Tarlton and husband Pete; grandchildren Nichole Fannin, Jacob and Jordan Brigner, Melina Gagne, Wesley Brigner, Lyndsey Barker and Charity Tarlton; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Germany Road Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio, by Brother Franklin Gillum.

Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook is in charge of arrangements.
