Helen O. McKeown, 96, a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs, passed away Dec. 25, 2005 at Risen Son. She was born in Council Bluffs on June 5, 1909 to Charles & Mary Skaith Jones. She retired from Pottawattamie County Records office.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1968; son-in-law, Duane McSorley and grandson, Jeff McSorley.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Jo McSorley; grandchildren, Kirk McSorley and wife, Susan, Sheryl McSorley, all of Council Bluffs; granddaughter-in-law, Sherrie McSorley, of Carson; great grandchildren, Caroline Simons and husband, Tony, of Council Bluffs; Michael McSorley and fiance, Laura, of Omaha, Neb., Melissa and Lindsey McSorley of Council Bluffs, and Meghan McSorley of Carson.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at funeral home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Rev. Aaron Simons, officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
