J. G. Pulliam

Joseph Galbraith Pulliam, 5906 Mercedes, businessman and long-time resident of Dallas, died Friday afternoon at a local hospital. He had been ill about a month.
A native of Houston, Miss., Pulliam moved to Texas a a child and came to Dallas forty-nine years ago. He was a former cashier of the Santa Fe Railway Company and later was engaged in the coal and milling businesses.

At the time of his death, he was associated with the W. A. Diffey Insurance Agency. He was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church and had been a director of the Oak Cliff Bank & Trust Company since its organization.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Staples; two granddaughters; a brother, J. Sid Pulliam, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Johnson, all of Dallas.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Weiland's Funeral Chapel, 2909 Live Oak, with Dr. Frank C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack Pulliam, Harry Pulliam, Herman Haslbauer, Robert Burtner, W. B Cummings, and John Hill.
