William "Bill" Francis McLochlin, 71, of Mishawaka, passed away at 2:26 pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Unity Medical Hospital. Bill was born on April 1, 1940 in Logansport, IN, the son of the late Francis and Josephine (Myers) McLochlin.
On March 22, 1975, he married the former Judy Horvath, who survives along with their six children, Sherri McDonald of Germantown, TN, Mark (Connie) McLochlin of Granger, Julie (Randy) Schneider of Granger, Bill (Alecia) McLochlin of Smyrna, GA, Michael (Kami) of Chicago and Todd McLochlin of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren, Chris, Colin, Mark, Christyn, Devon, Blake, Aly, Connor, Drew, Maddie, Josie, Callum, Ethan, and Beckett. He is also survived by a sister, Joann Peterson of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother in law, Mike (Carol) Horvath of Bridgman, MI, and two nieces.
Bill was a 1958 graduate of Riley High School. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Elk's Lodge and a lifetime member of Turner's. He will be remembered for his love of bowling and his great sense of humor and optimism. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and always supported their events.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Turner's, 2720 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 27, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road, Mishawaka, with one hour of visitation prior. Rev. Daniel Scheidt will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
