Donald Paul DeVore, age 84, of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Italy, Texas. Donald was born to the late Joshua Paul and Ethel L. Walton DeVore in Wichita, Kansas. He was a longtime member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Waxahachie , member of the Central Presbyterian Choir and was a member of the Ellis County Art Association. He was employeed by the U. S. Postal Service where he retired after 30 plus years. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.He is survived by his wife Jo DeVore of Italy, Texas; 1 son and daughter in law: David and Cathy DeVore of Bryan, Texas. 1 Sister: Anita McClaugherty of Leeville, Louisiana; 3 Grandchildren: Cary Warner of Saginaw, Texas; Brandie Johnson of Waxahachie, Joshua DeVore of Waxahachie;6 Great Grandchildren: Brittney DeVore, Brandon Warner, Jordan Johnson, Ashley Warner, Rylee Johnson, Ryan Johnson, He was preceeded in death by his parents and 1 son: Steven Paul DeVore. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 9:30 am Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Rev. Anna Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 23. 2010 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
