In 1910, she resided with her parents and siblings in Salem, Fremont County, Idaho. Her mother died on 11 April 1918 in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho and her father was remarried on that same date to HELENA BELL GILMOUR and the family moved to Los Angeles, California. On 20 September 1923, ALTA was married to FRED TURNER ASHLEY and they became the parents of two children. In 1925 they moved to Inglewood, California and both ALTA and her husband resided in that city until they passed away.
