SHAMROCK - Rose Alexander, 85, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in Wheeler.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock with the Rev. Joe G. Jernigan of Calvary Christian Fellowship officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors.

Rose Alexander was born May 11, 1926, in Samnorwood to Robert and Ruby Wilson Oldham. She was married to Donald Alexander, was a homemaker and worked at the Shamrock Care Center for several years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Rankins, in 1976; her second husband, D. V. Brashears; a daughter, Rheba Prestidge in 1993; and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Alexander of Wheeler; a daughter, Janice Otte of Amarillo; a grandson, Douglas Rankins of Stinnett; and a sister, Janis and husband Charlie Richards of Albuquerque, N.M.

The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter St., No. 404, Amarillo, TX 79106-1766.
