The Weekly Pantagraph, April 2, 1915:
Death of George Overmier.
Word was received here this morning of the death of George W. Overmier at Bendon, Mich. The burial is to be made at Wing. Mr. Overmier and family left Pontiac about a year ago to make their home in Michigan. While in Pontiac he had for eight years been captain of the night guard at the Illinois state reformatory. He was a man held in high regard by all who knew him. He was a member of the Crescent Lodge, Knights of Pythias of this city, and of the Modern Woodmen of America at Wing.
